Canon notes: Taken from mid-season 5, shortly before his escape from the prisoner of war camp in "By Inferno's Light".

Species: Augmented Human. While technically human, Julian is the result of a highly illegal process of genetic manipulation. He is physically superior to humans, much faster, stronger, tougher and inherently more athletic and agile. He also has a genius level intellect. He's a refined version of the infamous Khan and the process that made those super-soldiers.

History: Julian is purely from canon with no additional information. I am providing a link to his Memory Alpha page because it summarises the majority of his history in a succinct manner.

Personality: Julian is a very complicated young man who presents a fairly simple facade. He is brilliant, he is aware of his brilliance and this touches a lot of his social interactions.

Julian is often condescending without meaning to be, speaking down to people because he just has little grasp of how 'normal' people think and understand. He's improved with this, but his first meetings still tend to be fraught with his inability to grasp how much people actually understand. This, coupled with his rather obsessive focus, can make him difficult to warm to. He gets an idea in his head and runs with it, without actually hearing or taking in anything outside of that idea. It usually focuses on 'fixing' things, especially trying to heal people, but he may start pushing for solutions that are not only not needed, but not necessarily wanted.

Despite this, he is a genuinely kind person who wants to help others. He considers his Hippocratic oath to be the most binding promise he's made and will ignore orders and sense in the name of helping those in need, even if they're 'the enemy' or hostile to him. Also despite his awkwardness, Julian likes people. He wants to be more socially adept than he is and often flirts, chats and tries to make friends with anyone who stays still long enough.

Julian is chatty, friendly and keeps nearly all his friends at arm's length. Probably due to the secret of his augmentation, Julian never really lets anyone close to him, however friendly he is. Arguably, the person he became closest to was someone with more secrets, betrayal and trust issues than Julian himself. He will trust people too easily with his safety and body, but will trust no one with his secrets unless forced to reveal them.

Abilities: I'm splitting these into skills and augmentation for ease. I realise the awkwardness of the term Augment, but it's the canon name for people who have undergone the enhancement process.

Augmentation: Intelligence: The most obvious thing is that Julian is a genius. His IQ is never stated, but he's shown to be brilliant at fairly well any subject he chooses to study, as well as being able to do complex computations and calculations. He also memorises most things he reads. (Interestingly, this has never included his ability to learn and read social situations, which he remains somewhat inept at.)

Senses: Julian's senses exceed human ability. His is most strongly focused on hearing, and to a degree, scent.

Physical: Physically, Julian is closer to a Vulcan than human. He's much stronger, far more enduring, has excellent hand-eye coordination (throws a bulls eye on a dartboard with no effort at eight feet) and is generally more athletic with jumping, climbing and leaping. His reflexes are also faster than human, but he often stifles them to make himself seem normal.

Training: Professional surgeon: Julian's medical training has encompassed multiple fields, including primitive first aid and surgery, technologically advanced first aid and surgery, neurosurgery, nutrition and biochemistry. Most of these fields also extend to xenos species.

Engineer: Julian has done engineering courses. He knows most of our technological level engineering and the like. I know this won't translate to the Drift Fleet, but he may be of help analysing unfamiliar technology.

Languages: Completely irrelevant, I know, but he does speak at least Terran, with some Bajoran, Kardassi and Vulcan.
